We absolutely loved staying at this cozy local family-run hostel! The staff was super helpful in suggesting awesome tours and hikes, like the canapé walk and climbing inside a ficus tree. The common areas were great for hanging out and meeting interesting travelers. The breakfast was fantastic and had a genuine family vibe. We also heard that the family is building a new room and kitchen with an exceptional view!
We felt completely secure and had nothing to complain about!

The host was friendly and spoke good English. The room was small but had access to the kitchen and included breakfast. The hostel was affordable and as good as higher priced options. The location was convenient with nearby restaurants and shops.
Nothing, no complaints at all.

The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of local dishes. The staff was really friendly and helpful, offering assistance with tours and transportation. The view from the kitchen and terrace was stunning, allowing me to enjoy the beautiful surroundings while sipping my morning coffee. The common area was spacious and decorated with vibrant paintings, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere.
The noise level could get quite high at night when fellow travelers were partying. The room I stayed in was quite dark and lacked sufficient lighting.

the location was ideal, just a short walk from the charming town center. the room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a shared bathroom that had a hot shower. the hostel also had a common area with sofas and a balcony, offering stunning views at sunset. the free breakfast provided each morning was delicious.
The bed in my room was a bit old and could have been more comfortable.

I recently stayed at Hostel La Suerte for a few nights during my visit to Santa Elena. The hostel is conveniently located, just a short walk from the town center, shops, and restaurants. The private room I stayed in was budget-friendly and clean, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower - a luxury after a month of travel. The common area with its balcony provided a stunning view, especially at sunset. Additionally, the fully equipped kitchen and decent free breakfast were much appreciated.
I can recommend this hotel.

my recent stay in monteverde was amazing, but my stay at la suerte surpassed all expectations. the staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home, even going as far as drying my shoes. the breathtaking views, delicious breakfast, and friendly atmosphere made it the best hostel experience i've had.

The staff was always willing to help and the shared kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. the location was also convenient, with key attractions within walking distance. It was great to be able to explore the city without having to rely on public transportation.
The hostel appeared worn out overall and it was quite cold inside. transportation options to and from the city were limited, making it difficult to plan outings and causing us to miss out on some activities.

This gem of a hostel is nestled amidst nature, offering breathtaking views of both the Pacific Ocean and lush surroundings. the location is perfect, just a short 5-minute stroll to town. the breakfast is delicious and cooked to order, providing a substantial start to the day. the common areas are cozy and inviting, with a lovely upper deck to enjoy the scenery. the beds are comfortable and the showers are piping hot.
The exterior of the hostel could use some sprucing up, giving it a slightly shabby appearance from the outside.

The value for money at this family-owned hostel is excellent, with great rooms and an amazing kitchen. The location is perfect, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific while still being just a 5-minute walk from town.
The only thing that could make the breakfast selection better is if the bin in the toilet was emptied more frequently, as it fills up quickly in the common area.

I had an incredible time staying at La Suerte in Monteverde. The dormitory rooms were perfect for a solo traveler like me, and I enjoyed meeting new people. The breakfast kitchen was a nice touch, and the breakfast itself was delicious and filling. I loved the view from the terrace and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. They even offered tours at the front desk, which many guests took advantage of. it was a great place to meet people and a good value for my money.
Nothing, it is perfect! 👌

We had a wonderful stay at a hostel in Monteverde. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always there to assist us with anything we needed. The hostel was nice and clean, with a big, well-equipped kitchen that offered a lovely view. The breakfast provided was delicious, and we enjoyed starting our day with a smile. The rooms may not have been very big, but they were clean and the beds were comfy.
Our experience at this hostel was great. However, it's worth mentioning that the hot water in the shower was inconsistent at best.
